49 Purpose of a research and demonstration licence
The purpose of a research and demonstration licence is to provide for the licence holder to carry out an offshore infrastructure project for any of the following purposes: (a) to conduct research relating to the feasibility or capabilities of a technology, system or process; (b) to demonstrate the capabilities of a technology, system or process; (c) to conduct research relating to the exploitation of, or exploration for, renewable energy resources.
