9  Involved union to authorise returning officer

 (1) For the purposes of paragraph 120(1)(a) of the Act, an involved union for a designated work group that intends to conduct an election under section 42 of the Act for a health and safety representative for the work group must appoint a person as a returning officer for the election.

 (2) The returning officer for the election must conduct the election in accordance with the rules of the union.
