Division 1A—Use of information S. 8AA inserted by No. 8/2024 s. 31. 8AA Use of information (1) Information collected by the Authority under this Act or the regulations may be used by the Authority to perform its functions and exercise its powers under any Act if the use— (a) is reasonably necessary for the purposes of performing a function or exercising a power conferred on the Authority under that Act or regulations made under that Act; or (b) is directly related to a function or power conferred on the Authority under that Act. (2) This section does not affect the operation of— (a) the **Health Records Act 2001**; or (b) the **Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014**; or (c) the **Victorian Data Sharing Act 2017**.
