169 Treatment of improvement notices, prohibition notices and certain directions (1) An improvement notice issued under section 43 of the old Act or prohibition notice issued under section 44 of the old Act, that was in force immediately before the commencement of Part 9 of this Act is, on and after that commencement, taken to be an improvement notice or prohibition notice (as the case may be) issued under that Part and may be varied or cancelled accordingly. (2) A direction issued by an inspector under section 39(1)(j) of the old Act that has effect immediately before the commencement of Part 9 of this Act continues, on and after that commencement, to have that effect subject to any limitations or conditions that applied immediately before the commencement.
