#### 30 False or misleading statements etc. (1) A person who: (a) makes to the Minister, the Director, an inspector, an Agency inspector or another person exercising a power, or performing a function or duty, in relation to this Act a statement, either orally or in writing, that is to the knowledge of the person false or misleading in a material particular; or (b) presents to the Minister, the Director, an inspector, an Agency inspector or another person exercising a power, or performing a function or duty, in relation to this Act a book, document or other record that is to the knowledge of the person false or misleading in a material particular; commits an offence against this subsection punishable, upon conviction, by imprisonment for not more than 2 years. (2) Without limiting the generality of subsection (1), a reference in that subsection to the making of a statement or the presenting of a book, document or other record shall be read as including a reference to making a statement or presenting a book, document or other record pursuant to a condition of a permit or authority. (3) Section 15.2 of the Criminal Code (extended geographical jurisdiction—category B) applies to an offence against subsection (1) of this section.
