#### 116 Appointment of authorised officers (1) The Secretary may, in writing, appoint an appropriately qualified officer to be an authorised officer for the purposes of the exercise of the powers conferred on authorised officers by this Part. (2) In this section: > officer means the following: (a) an APS employee in the Department; (b) any other person engaged by the Department, under contract or otherwise, to exercise powers, or perform duties or functions, under this Part.
