What this Act does

This Act makes three small but practical changes to the rules governing the Northern Territory:

Calling meetings: It gives members of the Northern Territory Legislative Council the power to compel a meeting. If at least seven members request a session, the Administrator must convene one within 14 days and publish the time in the Government Gazette (the official public record).
Title change: It renames the presiding officer of the Council from "Chairman" to "President".
Boundary adjustments: It tweaks the boundaries of two administrative districts (Tennant Creek and Stuart), changing a measurement in the Tennant Creek district description from "twenty" to "forty" and transferring part of that district (the area south of the 20th parallel of South Latitude) to the Stuart District.

Who it affects Members of the Northern Territory Legislative Council and residents of the affected administrative districts.
