Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This is a short housekeeping amendment to the law governing how the Commonwealth administers the Northern Territory.

What it does:

Updates the citation rules so the 1910 Act and this amendment can be read together as the "Northern Territory (Administration) Act 1910–1926"
Removes the definition of "the Minister" from the 1910 Act (likely because administrative responsibility was shifting between government departments)
Repeals section 11 of the 1910 Act, which dealt with how Crown lands (government-owned land) could be sold or leased

Why it matters: This Act tidies up the administrative framework for running the Northern Territory. By removing the specific definition of which Minister was in charge and deleting the old land disposal rules, it made way for new administrative arrangements—probably shifting land management powers to other laws or agencies and clarifying ministerial responsibility.
