Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

These regulations give the North Australia Commission three specific new powers to help develop the Territory (modern-day Northern Territory):

Air services – encouraging and setting up aviation and air transport
Livestock dips – building and maintaining cattle or sheep dips (cleaning pools for livestock) and charging fees for their use
Coastal shipping – encouraging and establishing sea transport services along the coast

These powers are added on top of what the Commission already had under the main Northern Australia Act 1926. Essentially, this document fills in the operational details for how the Commission should actually deliver infrastructure and services on the ground.
