Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation removes (repeals) the previous rules from 1979 that allowed for appointing a temporary clerk to the Norfolk Island Legislative Assembly.

What it does:

Deletes the 1979 Norfolk Island Legislative Assembly (Temporary Clerk) Regulations (Statutory Rules 1979 No. 151)
Removes the legal framework that previously allowed for temporarily appointing someone to act as clerk of the Assembly

Why it matters: This is administrative housekeeping. The repeal likely occurred because the Assembly no longer needed those specific temporary appointment rules, or they had been replaced by other arrangements under the Norfolk Island Act 1979.
