#### 81 Reference of differences to superintendent (1) A master or owner may agree with a seaman to refer a question which has arisen between them to a superintendent for his or her decision. (2) A superintendent may hear and decide a question referred to him or her under subsection (1). (3) An agreement referred to in subsection (1) shall, unless the contrary intention appears from the agreement, be deemed to contain a provision that the decision of the superintendent shall be final and binding on each party to the agreement and a person claiming under such a party. (4) A superintendent who gives a decision on a question referred to him or her under this section shall record that decision in a document under his or her hand and that document is admissible in evidence.
