#### 405J Authority may request Tonnage Measurement Convention country to issue certificate (1) The Authority may request the government of a Tonnage Measurement Convention country to issue, or cause to be issued, in respect of a ship that is registered in Australia and is a ship to which the Tonnage Measurement Convention applies, an International Tonnage Certificate (1969). (2) A certificate issued in pursuance of such a request and containing a statement that it has been so issued has effect, for the purposes of this Act, as if it had been issued by the Authority under subparagraph 405F(a)(i).
