#### 267ZM Certificates required for Australian ships (1) The master of an Australian ship to which this Division applies shall not take that ship to sea unless a sewage certificate is in force in respect of that ship. Penalty: $10,000 or imprisonment for 4 years, or both. (2) The owner of an Australian ship to which this Division applies shall not permit that ship to be taken to sea unless a sewage certificate is in force in respect of that ship. Penalty: $10,000 or imprisonment for 4 years, or both. (3) The regulations may exempt ships included in a prescribed class of ships from the application of subsections (1) and (2), either absolutely or subject to conditions.
