#### 233 Ships not to be taken to sea without proper compasses (1) The master of a ship shall not take the ship to sea, and the owner or agent of a ship shall not permit the ship to go to sea, from a port in Australia unless the ship is equipped with compasses in accordance with the regulations and orders and the compasses on the ship have been adjusted in accordance with the regulations and orders. Penalty: $5,000 or imprisonment for 2 years, or both.
