#### 192A Detention of ships not registered in Australia (1) Where, under this Part, a ship to which Part II does not apply is detained or proceedings are taken against the owner or master of such a ship, the Authority shall forthwith give notice in writing, specifying the grounds on which the ship has been detained or the proceedings have been taken, to the consul for, or to another representative of, the country in which the ship is registered at or nearest to the port where, for the time being, the ship is. (2) Where notice of the detention of a ship is given to a consul or other representative under subsection (1), a person named by the consul or other representative may accompany any person directed to survey the ship while he or she is carrying out the survey.
