#### 155 Property of deceased seaman to be delivered to superintendent Where a seaman belonging to a ship dies, the master of the ship shall: (a) if the ship is in a port in Australia at the time of death—within 48 hours after the death, pay and deliver to a superintendent any property of the seaman in the possession of the master; and (b) in any other case—within 48 hours after the arrival of the ship at a port in Australia, pay and deliver to a superintendent any property of the seaman not paid or delivered to a proper authority under subsection 151(2). Penalty: $1,000.
