sec.56 Restriction about persons to whom permit may be granted

The chief executive must not grant a resources permit for conservation purposes to an individual. The chief executive may grant a resources permit for conservation purposes to a corporation only if the chief executive is satisfied— the corporation has an established reputation in a relevant field of conservation research; and the person who will be supervising the taking, using, keeping or interference under the permit has demonstrated experience or knowledge in a relevant field of conservation research; and the taking, using, keeping or interference to be conducted under the permit is not for commercial gain by the corporation. (sec.56-ssec.1) The chief executive must not grant a resources permit for conservation purposes to an individual. (sec.56-ssec.2) The chief executive may grant a resources permit for conservation purposes to a corporation only if the chief executive is satisfied— the corporation has an established reputation in a relevant field of conservation research; and the person who will be supervising the taking, using, keeping or interference under the permit has demonstrated experience or knowledge in a relevant field of conservation research; and the taking, using, keeping or interference to be conducted under the permit is not for commercial gain by the corporation.
