sec.310 Prohibited vessels
A person in control of a prohibited vessel must not, without a reasonable excuse— bring the vessel closer to a marine mammal than the prescribed distance for the vessel; or bring the vessel to a position that would cause a moving marine mammal, if the mammal continued its direction of movement, to become closer to the vessel than the prescribed distance for the vessel. Maximum penalty— if the prescribed distance applies as a result of a marine mammal special management declaration—165 penalty units; or otherwise—120 penalty units.
