156 Interest in native animal ends with escape If a person holds an interest in a native animal and the animal escapes, the person’s interest in the animal ends. Note Also, if the person held a nature conservation licence to keep the escaped native animal, the licence no longer applies in relation to the animal (see s 276 (4)).
