Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

These regulations declare the Baroota area (shown in GRO Plan No 170/2004) to be a prescribed water resources area, making all its watercourses and wells "prescribed" and fixing the establishment and prescribed periods. They affect landowners, water users and the Natural Resources Management authorities because prescribed status brings that mapped area under the Natural Resources Management Act 2004’s water-management rules and confirms that section 124(4) of the Act applies there (regs 3–6).
