#### 9 Debits of proceeds from the partial privatisation of Telstra and interest earned from the Account (1) Amounts standing to the credit of the Account that represents proceeds of the sale of shares in Telstra may only be debited for the following purposes: (a) the National Vegetation Initiative; (b) the Murray‑Darling 2001 Project; (c) the National Land and Water Resources Audit; (d) the National Reserve System; (e) the Coasts and Clean Seas Initiative; (f) environmental protection (as defined by section 15), being environmental protection that involves the carrying out of a project, or a program, the primary objective of which is to maintain or replenish Australia’s environmental infrastructure; (g) supporting sustainable agriculture (as defined by section 16), being support that involves the carrying out of a project, or a program, the primary objective of which is to maintain or replenish Australia’s environmental infrastructure; (h) natural resources management (as defined by section 17), being natural resources management that involves the carrying out of a project, or a program, the primary objective of which is to maintain or replenish Australia’s environmental infrastructure; (i) a purpose incidental or ancillary to any of the above purposes; (j) the making of grants of financial assistance for any of the above purposes. (2) An amount standing to the credit of the Account that represents interest earned on an amount standing to the credit of the Account may be applied for any purpose of the Account.
