26 Meaning of compliance purposes
For the purposes of this Part, a power to give a direction to a person is exercised for compliance purposes if the power is exercised: (a) to find out whether the Australian road laws or an approved road transport compliance scheme are being complied with by that or any other person; or (b) to investigate a breach or suspected breach of an Australian road law or an approved road transport compliance scheme by that or any other person.
