#### 18 Return of Commonwealth property relating to security classified documents If an authorised recipient has custody and control of Commonwealth property relating to a security classified document for the purpose of a federal criminal proceeding or a civil proceeding, the authorised recipient must return the property to the Attorney‑General’s Department, or a representative of the Attorney‑General in the proceeding, within 28 days after the earlier of the following: (a) the conclusion of the proceeding; (b) if the authorised recipient is a legal representative who has ceased to act in the proceeding—the recipient ceasing to act in the proceeding.
