Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This short Act authorises a levy on coarse grains (wheat, barley, sorghum) to fund the National Residue Survey, the government program that tests agricultural products for chemical residues and contaminants.

It is a technical enabling law — it does not set levy rates or collection rules (those appear in related legislation) — and it affects grain producers, growers and handlers who must pay the levy.
