8A Secretary may revoke or replace direction
> > (1) This clause applies if a direction has been given under clause 8.
>
> > (2) The Secretary may, by written notice served on the person to whom the direction was given, do one or more of the following—
> >
> > > (a) revoke the direction,
> >
> > > (b) give a further direction,
> >
> > > (c) vary or revoke a direction given under paragraph (b).
>
> > (3) The Secretary may give or vary a direction under this clause if satisfied it is necessary for one or more of the following reasons—
> >
> > > (a) to protect the public or national parks officers,
> >
> > > (b) to protect the environment,
> >
> > > (c) to prevent damage to a park, or part of a park,
> >
> > > (d) to prevent interference with the care, control and management of a park.
>
> > (4) Clause 8(2), (4) and (5) apply to a direction given or varied by the Secretary under this clause in the same way they apply to a direction given by a designated officer under clause 8.
>
> > (5) A direction given under this clause may apply for a period exceeding 28 days.
>
> > (6) If the Secretary gives or varies a direction under this clause—
> >
> > > (a) a designated officer may exercise the powers referred to in clause 8(5C) in relation to the direction, and
> >
> > > (b) clause 8(5D)–(5F) apply in relation to the direction.

> > (7) In this clause—

> > designated officer has the same meaning as in clause 8.
