#### 72 Appointment of officers 72 Appointment of officers > > (1) At each annual general meeting, the trustees must appoint a chairperson, deputy chairperson, secretary, treasurer and auditor. > > > (2) The chairperson and deputy chairperson are to be elected from among the trustees. > > > (3) The secretary, treasurer and auditor may be elected from among the trustees or may be persons who are not trustees appointed by the trustees. > > > (4) Except as otherwise provided by the Act or this Part, a person elected or appointed as chairperson, deputy chairperson, secretary, treasurer or auditor— > > > > > (a) holds office until a successor is elected or appointed, and > > > > > (b) is eligible for re-election or re-appointment at the next annual general meeting. > > > (5) A vacancy in any office must be filled at the next meeting after the vacancy occurs.
