74 Catchment areas and special areas—generally
> > (1) This section applies where—
> >
> > > (a) any lands reserved as a national park, historic site, state conservation area, regional park, nature reserve, karst conservation reserve or Aboriginal area or that comprise a wilderness area within the meaning of the [Wilderness Act 1987](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1987-196) are wholly or partly within a catchment area or special area of a water authority, or
> >
> > > (b) the waters from any lands so reserved drain into a catchment area, special area or structure of a water authority.
>
> > (1A) This section does not apply to land referred to in subsection (1) (a) that is wholly or partly within a special area within the meaning of the [Hunter Water Act 1991](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1991-053).
>
> > (2) The Secretary (or, if a regional park is under the care, control and management of a local council, the council) must, before submitting to the Minister a plan of management for the national park, historic site, state conservation area, regional park, nature reserve, karst conservation reserve, Aboriginal area or wilderness area—
> >
> > > (a) refer the plan to the relevant water authority for its information, and
> >
> > > (b) (Repealed)

> > > (c) also refer the plan to the Regulatory Authority (within the meaning of the [Water NSW Act 2014](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2014-074)) if the relevant water authority is Water NSW.

> > (3) The Minister must, before adopting the plan of management, consider any representations made by a person to whom or which the plan has been referred under subsection (2).
>
> > (4) In this section, water authority means the Sydney Water Corporation, Water NSW, the Hunter Water Corporation or a water supply authority within the meaning of the [Water Management Act 2000](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2000-092).
