# SCHEDULE 4 - Savings and Trans SCHEDULE 4 - Savings and Transitional Provisions [Section 92](#GS92@EN) > **1.   **Interpretation**** > > > In this Schedule, > > > > > ***repealed Act*** means the [National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1970-047) . > **2.   **Leases, licences, warrants and other authorities**** > > > A lease, licence, warrant or other authority in force under a provision of the repealed Act that corresponds to a provision of this Act, or taken to be such a lease, licence, warrant or other authority, immediately before the commencement day, is taken to have been made under that provision of this Act. > **3.   **Management plans**** > > > > (1) A management plan prepared or approved and in force, immediately before the commencement day, under the repealed Act is taken to have been prepared or approved and to be in force as a management plan under this Act. > > > > > (2) An act done by the Director or any other person in relation to the preparation or amendment of a management plan under the repealed Act is taken to have been done under this Act. > **4.   **Director**** > > > The appointment of the Director of National Parks and Wildlife that was in effect under the repealed Act immediately before the commencement day continues according to its terms and is taken to be an appointment as the Director under this Act. > **5.   **Rangers**** > > > The appointment of a ranger that was in effect under the repealed Act immediately before the commencement day continues according to its terms and is taken to be an appointment as a ranger under this Act. > **6.   **National Parks and Wildlife Advisory Council**** > > > The appointment of a person as a member or chairperson of the National Parks and Wildlife Advisory Council that was in effect under the repealed Act immediately before the commencement day continues according to its terms and is taken to be an appointment as a member or chairperson of that Council under this Act. > **7.    **[National Parks and Reserved Land Regulations 1999](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/sr-1999-167)**** > > > The [National Parks and Reserved Land Regulations 1999](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/sr-1999-167) are taken to have been made under this Act.
