72Expert assistance from scientific or technical expert

#### 72 Expert assistance from scientific or technical expert (1) This section applies if: (a) an inspector has reasonable grounds for suspecting that there may be on any premises: (i) a particular thing in respect of which this Part or regulations made for the purposes of this Part, or the SSBA Standards, have not been complied with; or (ii) evidential material; and (b) the inspector considers that assistance from a person with scientific or technical knowledge or expertise is necessary to ensure the safety of the inspector and any other person while the inspector is exercising powers under this Division. (2) The inspector may authorise a person of the kind referred to in paragraph (1)(b) to assist the inspector to ensure the safety of the inspector and any other person while the inspector is exercising powers under this Division. (3) This section does not limit section 70B. That section does not limit this section.
