226A Minister may give directions to the Pricing Authority—other functions

(1) This section applies in relation to the functions of the Pricing Authority mentioned in subsections 131(1A) and 131A(1) (other than the Aged Care Act functions) and the powers that may be exercised by the Pricing Authority for or in connection with the exercise of those functions. (2) The Minister may, by legislative instrument, give directions to the Pricing Authority in relation to the performance of its functions and the exercise of its powers.

(3) A direction under subsection (2) must be of a general nature only. (4) The Pricing Authority must comply with a direction under subsection (2).
