58D Matters that the Minister may have regard to in making an Order
In making an Order under section 58B, the Minister may have regard to any one or more of the following—
(a) the security and reliability of the operation of, and the supply of gas from, a declared transmission system in Victoria or in Victoria and another participating jurisdiction;
(b) options available under the National Gas (Victoria) Law and the Rules to address any crucial national or Victorian gas system need, including alternatives to extension to or expansion of a declared transmission system in Victoria or in Victoria and another participating jurisdiction;
(c) the potential costs to end users of any options referred to in paragraph (b);
(d) the immediate, medium and long-term needs of a declared wholesale gas market or a declared transmission system in Victoria or in Victoria and another participating jurisdiction;
(e) the actual or projected amount of gas production, gas reserves or other gas supply sources in Victoria and any other participating jurisdiction;
(f) the available transportation capacity of a declared transmission system in Victoria;
(g) any other matter that the Minister considers relevant.
