89 General account of VicGrid
(1) There must be paid into the general account any money VicGrid receives except money required to be paid into—
(a) the REZ scheme fee account; or
(b) the REZ Community Energy Fund; or
(c) the Traditional Owners Fund.
(2) Money in the general account may only be applied by VicGrid for the following purposes—
(a) to cover the costs incurred by VicGrid in performing its functions or exercising its powers under this Act or another Act other than—
(i) costs that are to be covered by payments out of the REZ scheme fee account; and
(ii) costs of administering the REZ Community Energy Fund and Traditional Owners Fund;
(b) to cover the costs incurred by VicGrid in performing its functions or exercising its powers under—
(i) the National Electricity (Victoria) Law (as modified under this Act); or
(ii) the National Electricity Rules (as modified under the regulations);
(c) to cover the costs of administering the account;
(d) if the money received by VicGrid and paid into the general account was to be used for a particular purpose—that purpose.
