81 Waiver of entitlement to payment S. 81(1) amended by No. 38/2025 s. 45. (1) An eligible person, by notice in writing to VicGrid or the transmission company that holds the relevant transmission interest, may waive the eligible person's entitlement to a specified payment under section 71, 73, 76 or 77. (2) If an eligible person waives an entitlement under subsection (1)— (a) section 71, 73, 76 or 77 (as appropriate) does not apply in relation to that payment; and (b) the transfer of the interest in land that is subject to the relevant transmission interest does not revive any entitlement to the payment.
