172Parliamentary Joint Committee on the National Anti‑Corruption Commission

#### 172 Parliamentary Joint Committee on the National Anti‑Corruption Commission (1) As soon as practicable after the commencement of the first session of each Parliament, a joint committee of members of the Parliament, to be known as the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the National Anti‑Corruption Commission, is to be appointed according to the practice of the Parliament. (2) The Committee is to consist of 12 members: (a) 6 members of the Senate appointed by the Senate; and (b) 6 members of the House of Representatives appointed by that House. (3) The 6 members appointed by each of the Senate and the House of Representatives must consist of the following: (a) 3 members of the Government; (b) 2 members of the Opposition; (c) 1 member of the Parliament who is a member of neither the Government nor the Opposition.
