51 Tyres for use on vehicles with GVM over 4.5 tonnes (1) A tyre fitted to a vehicle with a GVM over 4.5 tonnes must be suitable for road use at the lesser of: (a) 100 kilometres an hour; and (b) the vehicle’s top speed. (2) This rule applies to a vehicle instead of the tyre speed category requirements in the relevant ADR.
