47 Declaration of compensation contributions (1) The Minister must, by Gazette notice, declare the amount of compensation contributions payable on and after the date stated in the notice for the following: (a) the grant or renewal of the registration of a motor vehicle or trailer; (b) the grant or renewal of a pastoral vehicle permit; (c) the grant of an exemption from registration of a visiting vehicle under section 8A; (d) the grant of a licence under section 137; (e) the issuing of a trader's plate. (2) The declared amount of the compensation contributions must be: (a) the amount previously declared under this section indexed in accordance with a method decided by the Minister; or (b) another amount decided by the Minister in accordance with a recommendation made on a review under section 47A.
