45 Compensation contributions to be paid (1) The Registrar must not register or renew the registration of a motor vehicle or trailer unless the applicant has paid to the Registrar the relevant amount of compensation contributions declared in a notice made under section 47. (2) The Registrar shall not issue a trader's plate unless there has been paid to him the relevant amount of compensation contributions specified in a notice made in pursuance of section 47.
