13 Provision of effective communication system—the Act, s 17

(1) It is a condition of a licence that the licensee must ensure that the ground to which the licence relates is equipped with a communication system in accordance with this section.

(2) The communication system must be capable of enabling the official in charge of starting to be notified that—

(a) the track is clear, and

(b) it is safe for a race or another event to start.

(3) The Minister may, on the application of the licensee, vary or remove the condition imposed by this section.
