#### 71 Authority’s access to police information 71 Authority’s access to police information (cf s 42A MAA) > > (1) At the written request of the Authority with respect to a motor accident specified by it, the Commissioner of Police must provide a statement to the Authority in relation to the following matters if information as to those matters is held by a member of the NSW Police Force— > > > > > (a) the registration numbers of all motor vehicles involved in the accident, > > > > > (b) the names of all persons killed or injured in the accident, > > > > > (c) the names of the hospitals to which the injured persons were taken, > > > > > (d) the motor vehicle or vehicles most likely to have been at fault in the accident. > > > (2) The Authority is authorised to give a copy of a statement provided to it under this section to the next of kin of a person killed in the accident or to a person injured in the accident (or to an appropriate representative of either such person), or to an insurer. > > > (3) A statement or copy of a statement provided to or by the Authority under this section is not admissible in legal proceedings concerning a claim made under this Act. > > **s 71:** Am 2011 No 62, Sch 3.20.
