#### 42 Definitions 42 Definitions > In this Chapter— > > insurer, in relation to a person, means the insurer who insures the person against the person’s liability for damages in respect of a claim, whether or not under a third-party policy, and includes— > > > (a) the Nominal Defendant, and > > > (b) where a claim is handled on behalf of an insurer by another insurer, the other insurer. > > treatment means— > > > (a) medical treatment, or > > > (b) dental treatment, or > > > (c) the provision of rehabilitation services, or > > > (d) the provision of attendant care services, or > > > (e) the provision, replacement or repair of artificial members, eyes or teeth, crutches or other aids or spectacle glasses, > > whether or not at a hospital.
