Part 1 Preliminary matters Motor Accidents (Compensation) Act 1979 6 (3) The extent of a permanent impairment is to be expressed as a percentage of the whole person in accordance with the relevant Guides. (4) An impairment is not considered to be a permanent impairment unless the extent of the impairment as assessed in accordance with this section is at least 5%.
