#### 39D Payments by licensed insurer or Nominal Defendant 39D Payments by licensed insurer or Nominal Defendant > Any payment by a licensed insurer or the Nominal Defendant in accordance with this Part in respect of treatment, conveyance or nursing shall, to the extent of the payment, but subject to section 39 of the [Motor Accidents Compensation Act 1999](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1999-041), be a discharge of the liability of any person in respect of the treatment, conveyance or nursing. > > **s 39D:** Ins 1989 No 47, Sch 1 (19).
