This instrument records and brings into force amendments to the Misuse of Drugs Act 2001 by updating the authorised version of that Act and takes effect on the day its notice is published in the Gazette. It therefore changes the legal rules that apply to persons and businesses governed by the Act (and the enforcement agencies that apply it), and any compliance or enforcement consequences flow from those underlying amendments; it is administered by the Department of Justice.
