#### 32B Prescribed period for applications for renewal of authorities—the Act, s 113 32B Prescribed period for applications for renewal of authorities—the Act, s 113 > For the Act, section 113(2), an application for the renewal of an authority must be lodged with the Secretary as follows— > > > (a) for the renewal of a mining lease for 1 year or less, an exploration licence or an assessment lease—within the period of 3 months before the licence or lease ceases to have effect, > > > (b) for the renewal of a mining lease for more than 1 year—not earlier than 5 years and not later than 1 year before the lease ceases to have effect. > > **cl 32B:** Ins 2022 (802), Sch 1\[23\].
