> Each of the following is declared not to be personal property for the purposes of the [Personal Property Securities Act 2009](http://www.legislation.gov.au/) of the Commonwealth—

> > (a) an exploration licence,
>
> > (b) an assessment lease,
>
> > (c) a mineral claim,
>
> > (d) a mining lease,
>
> > (e) an opal prospecting licence.

> The [Personal Property Securities Act 2009](http://www.legislation.gov.au/) of the Commonwealth does not apply in relation to a right, licence or authority granted by or under a law of a State that is declared by the law not to be personal property for the purposes of that Act.
