#### 240D Effect of direction 240D Effect of direction > The issuing of a direction under this Division does not affect— > > > (a) the liability of any person to any penalty for an offence in relation to an authorisation, or > > > (b) the amount of security deposit that is or may be required under an authorisation, or > > > (c) the operation of any other provision of this Act or the regulations that requires or enables other action to be taken in relation to any contravention or other circumstances to which the direction relates. > > Note. > > For example, the issuing of a direction does not affect the power to cancel an authority under Division 3 of Part 7. > > **s 240D:** Ins 2008 No 19, Sch 1 \[206\].
