193 Term of mineral claim
A mineral claim—
(a) takes effect on the date on which it is granted or on such later date as the Secretary may determine, and
(b) ceases to have effect at the expiration of such period (not exceeding 5 years or, in the case of a mineral claim over land that is situated within a mineral claims district, not exceeding such shorter period as the special conditions may specify) as the Secretary may determine.
