3 Object of Act
[Section 3 Amended by No. 39 of 2020, s. 4, Applied:27 Dec 2020] The object of this Act is to assist in securing the health and safety of mine workers, and other people exposed to risks to their health or safety arising from mining operations, through the implementation of health and safety measures, specific to mines and mining operations, that are in addition to, or in substitution of, the measures imposed under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 .
