95C Announcement on entry (1) Immediately on entering a place under Division 3, an inspector must take all reasonable steps to notify the occupier or apparent occupier for the time being of the place of the entry and to produce his or her identity card for inspection by that person. (2) However, an inspector is not required to notify, or produce his or her identity card for inspection by, a person if— (a) to do so would defeat the purpose for which the place was entered or cause unreasonable delay; or (b) the person is already aware that the inspector has entered the place or was notified in advance of when he or she would enter.
