7C Ministerial Order declaring specified mines and quarries (1) The Minister, by Order published in the Government Gazette, may declare that a specified mine or quarry is a declared mine or declared quarry. S. 7C(2) amended by No. 32/2019 s. 5. (2) The Minister must not make a declaration under subsection (1) in respect of a mine or quarry unless the Minister is satisfied that there are geotechnical, hydrogeological, water quality or hydrological factors within the mine or quarry that pose a significant risk to— (a) public safety; or (b) the environment; or (c) infrastructure.
